How often should nonprofit organizations report outcomes and activities?

Scott Harrison, founder of Charity Water, believes that nonprofit organizations should provide photographs and stories on a regular basis to donors and report to them what happened with the money (even if it’s only $20) that they donated.

In November 2013, the Charity Water YouTube channel had more than 4 million views. They counted on the support of celebrities and volunteers of all ages. For example, actors Will Smith and Jada Smith donated their birthdays to support Charity Water’s mission to dig water wells and provide clean water in developing communities in Africa. Others across the country gave their birthdays so more people could get clean water.
