2022 Community Conversation: Homelessness
Public Relations Campaign Proposed as Strategy to Reduce Homelessness
The Central Florida American Society for Public Administration held a panel discussion on November 2022 about homelessness. The conversation featured panelists with perspectives on the issue. For those who were unable to attend, there is a short video with some the panel discussion, which can be accessed by clicking here. The video is captioned and a transcription of the discussion is also available for those who prefer to read the content. One of the takeaways was the importance of a public relations campaign to raise awareness in the community in order to attract public dollars to reduce homelessness. This idea received some support from panelists and was seen as a valuable strategy. We encourage advocates to take the time to watch the video and read the transcription to learn more about the perspectives shared, and to continue the discussion in their own communities.
